Loretta Green-Williams’ work integrated the minds, body, and spirit. Her life personifies the USF core value of cura personalis as she has worked in countless ways to facilitate gender and racial equality in health, well being, and faith. I graduate University of San Francisco in 1997 with a degree in sociology and then in 1999 with sports management. That’s right. I’m a double Don. I really love the fact that when I entered USF as a returning adult, that’s right, I didn’t even start USF until I was 40 years old then I was accepted, I was received and just was allowed to be me. I started the organization women of concerned professional and strategic conscious networking. We address gender equality and equity. Something again that I was able to express on the campus of USF. Most recently, she launched a fitness website for seniors in response to the COVID 19 pandemic and became an ordained minister. USF and its relationship to building global community is extremely important to me. The alumni is very important because it galvanizes and motivates one to do more. I appreciate the fact that we believe in helping community and that community comes first. USF will always be part of my with me about me when I work through WOCPSEN. For living the mission of USF through her work we honor Loretta Green-Williams with the Fr. Steven Privett Living the Mission Award.
